Job Overview: Sales Coordinator

A Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales team by managing administrative tasks, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring smooth operations within the sales department. They play a key role in facilitating communication between sales representatives, clients, and other departments to achieve sales objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing sales reports, managing schedules, and handling correspondence. Ensure that sales processes are executed efficiently and accurately.

  2. Sales Coordination: Coordinate sales activities and operations, such as order processing, inventory management, and customer follow-ups. Ensure that sales-related tasks are completed in a timely manner and align with company policies.

  3. Customer Interaction: Assist with customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about products or services. Support the sales team in addressing customer needs and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.

  4. Documentation: Prepare and maintain sales documentation, including contracts, agreements, and purchase orders. Ensure that all records are accurate and up-to-date.

  5. Sales Reporting: Generate and analyze sales reports to track performance metrics, sales trends, and pipeline status. Provide insights and recommendations to the sales team and management based on data analysis.

  6. Order Management: Process and track orders from receipt to fulfillment. Coordinate with internal departments, such as shipping and finance, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products or services.

  7. Event Coordination: Assist with planning and coordinating sales events, promotions, and trade shows. Manage logistics, invitations, and follow-up activities to ensure successful execution.

  8. Communication: Facilitate communication between the sales team and other departments, such as marketing, customer service, and production. Ensure that sales initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.

  9. Training and Support: Provide training and support to new sales team members on sales processes, systems, and tools. Assist with onboarding and integration into the sales department.

  10. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and update customer information in CRM systems. Monitor customer interactions and ensure that follow-up actions are completed as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in a sales support or administrative role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams and departments
